I wrote it in English just so those who does not understand would know,
I wrote this in English just so those who think that in writing a Blog should be in English.
I wrote this in English as a protest to those who do not know anymore how to speak fluently in their National Language.
As a Filipino, as a Blogger, as a to my Roots Pangasinan, and as Filipino Born, lived and fought to protect Baguio,
I as well would like to say to all of you who does not know what is happening this:
Tagalog as language then becomes more “other” than English. Indeed, how tragic.
You may ask what the “other” means. In this blog you'll know it all. I devoted my whole life fighting for what I thought was right and now that the Era is changing I would carry on on what I have started I had a promise since I was a boy that to protect my beloved country and so its culture and its Language even if it cost me my life. As our era is changing the Filipino language which is known as Tagalog is now in a brink of removal in our Local schools. A lot of Filipino may say that it's just Filipino? We may not see it but a lot of young boys and girls are already speaking in English which is somehow an alarming rate cause there are a lot of kids now a days that does not even know how to count in Filipino.
The 1987 Constitution has declared that Filipino is our national language. But in recognition of the diversity of our languages, the Constitution has also declared its fluidity and evolving nature, and sets these as the framework for its growth and intellectualization. Section 6 of Article XIV states that: “The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. As it evolves, it shall be further developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages.”
The Colonization that had been a domain for every Filipino became a scar to our selves and even took it as our own which should be the "OTHER" Language but as the era changes the time flies and the things that our Heroes had fought for is gone. "Tayo ay mga Pilipino, tayo ay ang mga anak ng Inang Pilipinas". Filipino is being used as a medium Language in Teaching and is one of the Subjects in Elementary and High School, now that CHED has its plan set for K to 12 a lot of teachers is worrying for their security or more or less their jobs. Even in our House of Representatives where the Laws of the Philippines was being made the Filipino Language is being dishonored and they'd rather use English as a form of Debating or having their Speech. The Filipino people had harbored a lot of what the other countries had thought to us when Colonization had started, This is where we think about it our selves when do we say that Filipino Language ("Tagalog") is "Being Betrayed".
